The interiors  of this stone house which dates back to the 1350’s were designed by a well known Danish designer, Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, who brought together natural materials, clean lines, and local craftsmanship to create a calm and functional space.

The three-storey, 97 m2 townhouse opens into a tranquil lounge area where a powder room and guest toilet discreetly tucked away behind a wooden wall. The entire ground floor is laid with coarse pebbles, referencing the original cobblestones of the village square.

Upstairs, the latest Vipp kitchen invites guests to cook with produce sourced from Lagrasse and its surrounds and especially from the Saturday morning village market. On one side the double doors open onto a small balcony overlooking the square and on the other a spacious terrace with a long Vipp table, the latest range of Vipp Lagrasse outdoor furniture and a Josper barbecue.

A sculptural staircase by local sculptor Alejandro Berconsky runs through all three floors of the house, leading up to the bedroom, where morning light fills the space and a large window looks out over the rooftops of Lagrasse. The bedroom flows into a bathroom, where a freestanding shower in locally sourced red marble draws the eye.
