The design of Bouquerie by architect Matthieu Pailhes was complemented by the owners’ interior decoration and the installation of contemporary sculptures and paintings. The central belief is that art should engage, provoke and inspire. “Shadows in the Water by Italian sculptor Willy Verginier and Rabbitt by Barcelona-born Samuel Salcedo on the first floor. Paintings Jaune by Parisian artist Joanna Flatau, L’Enfer de Dante by Lagrassienne Joelle Mariou, “Pressure” by South African Nigel Mullins, Torse by Jean Daniel Bouvard, a poster by Joseph Stall, Joseph Perrier 1874-1933 purchased at a Bonhams auction, enliven the rooms and public spaces of La Bouquerie.

Design

Design elements draw heavily on Scandinavian influences, with kitchens and washbasins by Vipp, and chairs and stools by Karl Hansen, Normann and Skargaarden.
